Hey everyone, this week was a good, hard, long one! But I learned a lot. I can start out with a funny story. So we were heading up to one of our investigators but first we wanted to knock and talk to a couple of people and we saw this big group of Mexicans out side so we stopped and when they saw us they all ran inside except for two of them. hahaha, so then we started talking to the two and then did our thing and invited them to all listen so then we had a group of like ten of them! Then after a little while into the lesson one of the guys says " what is in your bag" and I laughed and said just scriptures. And then all of them sighed, hahaha. then they told us that in Mexico that there are people who dress up like us and have bags and in there bags they have guns and they shoot everyone. So then we assured them that we couldn't hurt a fly if we wanted to!! haha, so then we got to teach 10 new people and we had a really good lesson about the Joseph Smith story. We are going to go back up there and teach English to them and more about the Book of Mormon on Tuesday.
We had another cool experience with a new investigator! So his name is Samuel we found him last week and we taught him on Tuesday and really had a good experience, he has had a rough life so far, and then we left him with reading in the Book of Mormon. and then the next day we were about a hour away from his house, and we had the feeling we need to go and see him. and then we decided we needed to follow the Spirit so we went up there and took the 100 or so miles it takes to get up there. and went and we were knocking doors close to his door and he comes around the building and see us. I gave him a triple combination that my Dad gave me to give out to people. Then we left not really thinking anything of it. and the next day we were up there the next day, and we were having a good lesson with him and we were talking about getting answers to prayers and then he told us that the night before he was in the shower and he was praying that he could have a sign if he should continue and be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. and then he came around the corner and there we were. and we gave him the book. and he said that was his sign that God gave him. so it was so cool to follow the Spirit and risk using all of those miles, especially since we are running low. but then again. It was not a risk it was an assignment from Heavenly Father to answer the prayer of Samuel. It is so cool to be answers to prayers of people. Daily. I want all of you to be the best you can, so you can be an answer or many answers to prayers to loved ones and those around you, or maybe someone very far away.
